The Order
of the
Eclipse
A new group of Novices · One Sanctuary · 3 days until the Eclipse

The sky will darken.
Someone has been waiting for it.

An immersive social-deduction weekend — one private country house in Cambridgeshire, accommodation and meals included. Bring a group of 12+ to book privately, or join a mixed Sanctuary of strangers.

For centuries, the Order has protected humanity from the side effects of the Eclipse — a celestial event that corrupts the mind. To survive the next one, the Order must gather a vast Offering, but a hidden faction of Heretics intend to take it for themselves.

"For three days you will be tested, watched, and asked to give more than you meant to. That is the price of shelter from the Eclipse.
What I cannot tell you is which of the friends beside you already serves the dark."
— The High Priest
How it works

Three days. A new group of Novices. A Heretic hidden among them.

Trials are physical and mental team challenges, the Excommunication is a secret group vote, Confessionals are private interviews with the High Priest, and the Offering is the shared prize fund built up over the weekend.

DAY ONE
FRIDAY
FROM 7PM

Arrival | Briefing | Initiation

Novices arrive from 7pm and are briefed on what's coming. Private Confessionals decide who's fit to serve something darker — and that night, a hidden few are quietly turned toward the Eclipse. The first Trial begins before the night is out.

DAY TWO
SATURDAY

Three rounds of Sacrifice | Trial | Excommunication

The heart of the weekend. Each round brings a Trial across the grounds to grow the Offering, a Sacrifice as the Heretics strike after dark, and an Excommunication as the Sanctuary tries to root them out before the sky fully turns.

DAY THREE
SUNDAY
ENDS AT 4PM

Final round | Eclipse

One or two final rounds test what's left of the Sanctuary's nerve, before the Final Ritual — the moment the Eclipse arrives and the Offering is either shared among the Loyalists, or stolen by whichever Heretics remain. Departure by 4pm.

Who you'll be

Everyone arrives a Novice.
Not everyone stays Loyalist.

The Sanctuary

Loyalists

Most Novices are Loyalist — building the Offering through the Trials, and trying to read the room well enough to survive the Excommunications. Trust is the only tool you have, and it will be tested every round.

The hidden faction

Heretics

A small few are drawn into the dark during Initiation, and worship the Eclipse rather than fear it. They want the Sanctuary to fall — and the Offering to be theirs alone when it does. Nobody knows who they are. Possibly not even them, at first.

Who this is for

Bring your people, or come find out who your people are.

Take over the Sanctuary

Come as a group

Built for friends who think they already know each other. Bring 12 or more and take the whole Sanctuary for your weekend — nobody in the house but you and whoever among you already serves the dark. Already have a date or venue in mind? Get in touch and we'll see what's possible.

Join a mixed Sanctuary

Come alone, or in twos

Don't have twelve friends free the same weekend? Join solo, as a pair, or as a small group, and you'll be seated among fellow Novices you've never met. Often the more unsettling way to play — you have even less idea who to trust.

Each Sanctuary runs with a minimum of 12 Novices total, whether that's one group or several joining together. Looking for something smaller or shorter instead? Mention it in the form below — it's not a fixed package yet, but we're listening.

The first Sanctuary

12 real guests played our first weekend. Here's what they said, unfiltered.

The Order of the Eclipse began as a single house, a handful of friends, and Heretics hiding in plain sight until the very end — full Trials, a real Offering, and a Final Ritual nobody at the table saw coming. The format is proven. The only thing missing now is the next Sanctuary — and the Novices willing to enter it.

Before you join

Everything practical, in one place.

Where you'll stay

A country house in the Cambridgeshire countryside — typically shared or twin rooms, not private suites. Exact venue confirmed closer to your date.

How far is it

Typically within about an hour of Cambridge itself. Exact directions shared once your Sanctuary's venue is confirmed.

How physical is it

Some Trials involve movement around the grounds, including after dark. Nothing extreme, but not fully seated either. This is a psychological game built on suspense, not a physical or horror experience.

Do I need experience

No — no LARP, roleplay, or "gamer" experience needed. Just bring yourself and a willingness to be a little suspicious of your friends.

What's included

2 nights' accommodation, all meals, props, and full Game Master facilitation throughout. Alcohol is BYOB — bring your own.

Dietary requirements

Full catering is provided across the weekend, with dietary requirements collected and accommodated ahead of your stay.

What about price

Not published yet — the venue and catering are still being finalised. Join the waitlist and we'll share real pricing with you directly, well before you're ever asked to commit to anything.

When's the next one

We're aiming for November — nothing confirmed yet, which is exactly what the waitlist is for. You'll hear first.

Booking for a birthday or milestone

Yes — private group bookings are exactly what "Come as a group" is for. Get in touch with your dates and we'll see what's possible.

Join the Order

Get word before the next Eclipse.

No spam, no Trials over email — just a note the moment the next Sanctuary opens. Tell us a little about how you'd like to play, so we can plan around real interest.

ALSO WORTH KNOWING
Joining doesn't commit you to anything — it just shows you're interested and marks your place in line. We'll only get in touch when there's real news to share, including the moment the next Sanctuary opens for booking.

Your name has been taken.

You'll hear from us before the next Sanctuary opens. Until then — say nothing to your friends.
